Directions from Seattle/Tacoma Airport

Take I-5 S

Take the Exit 40 (Longview-Kelso) and turn right on the stop sign.

Make a right turn at the first traffic light.  You are on Cowlitz Way.

As you drive on a small bridge, try to stay inside the lane.

Passing 2 traffic lights, you will be on Washington Way.

After passing another 2 lights (?), you will be in a five way cross.  You will see McDonald's on your right and the Pizza Hut on your left.

Make a left turn.  You are on 15^th Ave.

After passing 3-4 lights, the name of the road changes from 15^th to Oregon Way.

Stay on Oregon Way and you will cross the Columbia River. Follow a sign "Astoria or Highway 30 West".

Now you are in Oregon (No Sales Tax and All Full Service Gas Stations) and 45 miles away from Astoria.

When you approach to the east-end of town, you will note the changes of street numbers: 45 to 36 to 20.

As you drive continuously to 30W, you will be on Marine Drive and then West Marine Drive. Holiday Inn Express in located at 204 West Marine Drive, which is right by the Astoria Bridge and also located on the 5-way intersection after Pig’n Pancake Restaurant.

The Seafood Lab is located between 20^th and Marine Drive (Hwy 30).  The OSU Seafood Lab (2001 Marine Dr.) will be used for Lab and the Holiday Inn Express Hotel (204 West Marine Dr.) for Lectures and Social Hours.

Directions from Portland Airport

1) Take I-205 N.  In a minute, you cross the Columbia Rive and enter Washington.  It will become I-5 N after 12.4 miles.

2) Take the Exit 36 (Longview-Kelso) for SR-432 (Long Beach) and keep left at the fork in the ramp.

3)  Merge onto SR-432W.

4)  After passing 2-3 traffic lights, you are in a four way cross where you can find AM/PM on your right and Burger King on your left.  Make a left turn.  It is Oregon Way.

5)  Stay on Oregon Way and you will cross the Columbia River. Follow a sign "Astoria or Highway 30 West".

6)  Now you are in Oregon (No Sales Tax and All Full Service Gas Stations) and 45 miles away from Astoria.

7)  When you approach to the east-end of town, you will note the changes of street numbers: 45 to 36 to 20…
